Worksite Health Promotion in Two Industrialized Countries: A Comparison of Efforts in Australia and the US |
This presentation will focus on disease risk factors among Australia and United States citizens, chronic disease and disease prevention efforts in terms of worksite health promotion programming in each country, and a comparison of models and methods used in building exemplary programs. Specifically, the presentation will discuss how Australia weaves worksite health promotion into its socialized medicine/Public Health Service framework and how the US does the same under its private and self-insured format. Best practices, evaluation data and a discussion of trends will also be presented. |
