Assessment/Evaluation Challenges in Sport Management Internships |
The internship experience can present sport management students with an opportunity to evolve from learning career-related skills in the classroom to the application of these skills in a management-oriented environment. The challenge for the sport management instructor is to determine how to best assess that evolution. The purpose of this interactive session will be to identify and discuss current evaluation criteria and methods utilized by sport management faculty to assess student internship experiences. Discussions will focus on different assessment techniques as well as address the problems practitioners are facing in accurately assessing student internship performance. |
