Where’s the African American Female in Athletics? A Commentary Examining Title IX’s Influence on African American Women in Sport
Has Title IX benefited all females? A new viewpoint within Title IX discussions needs to decipher the prosperity of female participation, as it pertains to all races and ethnicities. On the grand scheme, a small percentage of African American females are actively involved in athletics. This session will discuss the truth concerning Title IX and its relationship with African American females. The presenters will examine how Title IX has impacted women in sports, and how women of color specifically African American women, have not equally benefited from Title IX.
