The Impact of the HIPAA Privacy Rule on Sport Professionals |
Intended for an audience of physical educators and those engaged in sport at all levels. The HIPAA (Health Insurance and Portability and Accountability Act) was amended by a Privacy Rule that was designed with good intentions, but has created a minefield for sport practitioners at all levels. This presentation will elaborate on HIPAA privacy problems and recommended solutions. The benefit to the attendee will be a better working understanding of this complicated area that affects everyone involved in sport or sport education at all levels. |
