Preparing Physical Education Teachers to be Fitness Specialists |
This session will discuss the importance of fitness instruction education for those preparing to teach physical education. In addition, the benefits gained from a specific core of coursework designed to enhance the knowledge, skills, and abilities will be discussed in detail. Finally, a template for the creation of a fitness specialist certificate program will be provided with examples given based on a university program presently active in this role. |
