Developing Community Standards in Youth Sports: A Case Study |
This presentation will showcase the efforts of a large regional collaboration to develop and implement community standards in youth sports. Emphasis will be placed on the process, the discussions, results of the collaboration, as well as subsequent projects such as creating a centralized coaching and parent certification clearinghouse to regulate participation. Over 500 organizations were identified in the Southern Nevada region and freely participated in the discussions on creating a vision for youth sports in this fast growing metropolitan area. Information presented will help guide others in starting the process in their communities. |
