SchoolYoga Workshop - An Integrated Physical Education Curriculum |
SchoolYoga, an integral part of a physical education curriculum, is an activity that promotes a healthy mind/body for students (K-12). This workshop is designed to teach the SchoolYoga curriculum with a primary focus on hands-on experience. The curriculum includes fundamental postures (asanas), routines (vinyasa), breathing exercises (pranayama), and relaxation. These postures and routines are physically demanding and designed to strengthen, balance, and flex the body. By the end of the workshop the participants will learn a sample routine from the curriculum and collect the curriculum materials that can be immediately implemented into daily teaching and self-practice. Certification is available upon request. Please dress for yoga activity and bring a mat if you have one or a thick towel. |
