Teaching Adventure Skills in the Gym |
A one-day workshop designed to teach participants to perform and teach basic adventure skills in a gymnasium setting with an emphasis on safety. This includes: adventure without ropes activities, climbing skills on gym ropes with Prusik slings, belaying techniques and their application, climbing wall skills, traversing skills, rope swinging activities, and skills on innovative equipment. Curriculum materials for use in conducting programs will be distributed. Certificate of completion and CEUs offered. Fee includes curriculum materials, transportation, and lunch. Pre-registration required. |
