Academic Adventures: Meeting the NASPE Standards through Adventure Education |
This program will focus on how adventure activities can be used to meet the NASPE and states’ standards for physical education. Activities with accompanying assessments will be provided targeting each of the NASPE standards as well as specific examples addressing the Pennsylvania Academic Standards for Health, Safety, and Physical Education. An emphasis will be placed on how adventure activities can be utilized to teach students the fundamental content of the physical education discipline, such as motor learning, biomechanics, and principles of fitness development. |
