The Prevalence of Formal and Informal Mentoring in the Career Progression of Female Athletic Administrators in the NCAA
This session will offer a discussion on the prevalence of female athletic administrator's in the NCAA. Particular attention will be paid to both formal and informal mentoring programs that have contributed to the administrators' experiences throughout their career. An online survey was conducted of all NCAA administrators. Results are based on the 351 questionnaires that were completed. This session is vital to help increase understanding of programs that are needed to enhance women’s experiences and longevity in athletic administrative positions.
