Winning Confidence |
Confidence is a staple to a successful performance. Yet, while many athletes strive to attain a desired level of confidence for competition, effectively controlling arousal, anxiety, and other factors should be considered (Gould and Weinberg, 2003; Martens, Vealey, and Burton, 1990). The purpose of this session is to examine methods and explore options used by successful athletes in their performance routines to increase and/or maintain a sought after desired level of confidence. Specifically, three sport psychology consultants will identify and address confidence issues used in various individual and team sport activities. |
