Walk Across America
An interdisciplinary team of teachers, administrators, parents, and a school nurse who were the visionaries of “Walk Across America” will present the stages and strategies for developing this unique project. Fundraising methods and resources within your community that could support this type of a project will be identified. The trail incorporates stations that integrate exercise, geography, English Language Arts, Science, and nutrition. The trail spans from the east to the west coast. A national convention is the appropriate setting to learn about this project. “Walk away” from this session with a plan to implement a trail on your school grounds.
