It's Not About Learning to Dance, It's About Dancing to Learn!
A most perplexing child development issue of our time: how can a nation so obsessed with providing the best education for our children see learning disabilities on the rise? Many children are not receiving appropriate movement and sensory experiences, causing big setbacks in children's social, emotional and cognitive skills, sensory integration, imaginative problem solving, and in the ability to read and write. “Dance 2 Learn” is a program for preschool children that couples vestibular-activating sensory/motor movements with musical stories to stimulate brain/ body development. Participants learn how they can use a child's natural love of music and movement to forge lifelong learning and fitness skills. Your students will learn body and spatial awareness, receive auditory, tactile, and visual stimulation, and gain the muscular strength and coordination for success in learning and life. “Dance 2 Learn” increases neural connections through perceptual motor activity, builds the muscular strength necessary to perform cognitive tasks, and incorporates simple assessment tools to help the instructor determine specific gaps in a child's motor, cognitive, and sensory development. Help preschool through 1st grade teachers assess their student's motor, cognitive, and sensory development and implement a sensory/motor program that activates the vestibular system through the "Dance 2 Learn" program.
