Get READY: A Unique Approach to School Emergencies
The Get READY camp is a unique approach for schools to prevent, prepare for, and respond to serious emergency situations. Attendees will learn the components of a school emergency response team and how to equip middle and high school students with skills and knowledge related to safety and injury prevention, first aid, CPR, and AED; emergency preparedness including school security, crime prevention and disasters; and student citizenship, leadership and advocacy making their students the leaders of tomorrow for emergency preparedness and safety. This presentation would appeal to community and school health educators, school administrators, and members of school safety councils.
