Promoting Physical Activity: Does Peer Leadership Make a Difference in Assisted-Living Older Adults? |
Using peer leaders for physical activity programs is virtually an untouched area in assisted-living older adult facilities. This session will discuss the parameters and methods for developing physical activity programming using peer leaders vs. typical trained leaders in assisted-living older adult facilities. Discussion will also focus on how the program evolved, how peer leaders were trained, and how assessments were accomplished at the intervals for evaluation. |
