Legal Issues in Sport Violence
Recently we have experienced an increase in the number of civil and criminal cases involving sport violence, such as bench clearing brawls, little league rage, hazing, and parents attaching officials. This presentation will examine several recent cases in order to understand who is responsible of the college, high school, and youth level for these acts of violence. The study of case law should help provide administrators and coaches with guidelines to try and prevent these ugly incidents that put sport participants at risk.
