Alive with Mission Me is a multi-fitness intervention program designed to promote health and fitness for high school students through a multisport personal fitness plan. This project addressed the effectiveness of a comprehensive multi-fitness intervention designed to promote increased physical activity and development of multisport skills in high school students. Students participated in a 15-week multisport program that utilized over 30 multi-fitness physical activity lesson plans on education, instruction, and participation in multi-sport activities. Through the 15 week program, students engaged in multiple elementary multi-fitness activities that were designed to develop upper body strength, core strength, and cardiovascular endurance. Students then completed activities designed to enhance swimming, biking, and running skills. The project culminated with an indoor sprint distance triathlon (300 meter swim, 3 mile bike, and 1 mile run) to test skill development. Students were surveyed on levels of leisure satisfaction, self-efficacy and self-esteem. Biological markers included resting heart rate/exercise heart rate, blood pressure, muscular strength, body composition, and body weight.
