Setting the Structure for a Successful Recess!
With such a high emphasis on academics in schools today, recess becomes a target to eliminate from the school day. In a blind effort to increase academic instructional time on learning, schools are overlooking the rich academic, social and emotional benefits of recess. In this session you will learn how schools have successfully structured recess to increase activity, cooperation and to improve play, which in turn creates a safer climate in our schools. K-5 Educators will receive strategies to improve this valuable learning time.
