Baroque Theatrical Dance
Experience the fun of Baroque dance with steps, gestures, and fan work. Baroque dance is the foundation of modern ballet, and this workshop is for all levels. Participants will learn a dance similar to what would have been seen on stage in the 17th/18th centuries, which can be recreated for all ages. The presenter has been performing, researching, and choreographing historical dance for the last 25 years, in over 250 performances in such venues as Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center, Boston Early Music Festival, Washington Early Music Festival, and numerous other presentations. She is artistic director of Early Music Youth.
