| Dr. Marcia Jean Carter has been selected as the 2005 AALR J.B. Nash Scholar. Dr. Carter will present on "Celebrating the R in AAHPERD: A Hand on the Back, Professionals Making a Difference."
Dr. Carter is currently employed by the University of Northern Colorado and has been a member of AAHPERD since 1968. Dr. Carter is a past AALR President and is the author of several textbooks on inclusion, therapeutic recreation, aging, and standards.
AALR will also honor the recipients of the Student Literary, Outstanding Achievement, Meritorious Service, Tommy Wilson Memorial, and Friend of Recreation Awards. |
