Health Education and Technology: Tools to Motivate and Reinforce the K-12 Curriculum
This presentation is designed for classroom teachers and other educators interested in the integration of quality health education for K-12. Demonstration of various technology enhanced lessons in health and human physiology will be shown. These lessons will follow the seven national health education standards and can easily be integrated in the math, science and other related curriculums. Discussion will include the current status of youth health in the U.S. and the importance of cross integration into other academic disciplines given the current status of comprehensive health education in the schools today.
