Physical Fitness Training in the Virginia Women's Institute for Leadership
An overview of the Physical Education and Activity Requirements for cadets in the Virginia Women’s Institute for Leadership (VWIL). The only all female corps of cadets in the world has 134 graduates, with a 40% commissioning rate. The presentation will give an overview of the physical programs, which include fitness testing, physical training, and the leadership challenge program. It will also cover how the program works with cadets of various fitness levels, as there are no physical entrance requirements. A unique aspect of the program is the use of cadre – upper class cadets who practice leadership in the fitness programs.
