A revolution started in women’s athletics with the passage of Title IX in 1972. But what incited this revolution for women’s athletics? This is the story of women physical education teachers and how they started a movement towards intercollegiate athletics for women. This is a living history of a time when women played only for the love of the game, when they were truly students first and athletes second.
