Community Programming: Adapted Sports and Fitness
This session will introduce participants to the world-renowned Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago's, Helen M. Galvin Center for Health and Fitness and Virginia Wadsworth Wirtz Sports Program. Participants will receive a presentation on adapted sports and fitness programming for individuals with disabilities and be given an opportunity to observe programming in progress at the fitness center. The session is appropriate for adapted physical educators, recreation therapists and sports medicine professionals. Meet in the lobby at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, 345 E. Superior St, Chicago, directly east of the intersection of Fairbanks and Superior Street.
