Experiential Learning: Know your Boundaries!
Experiential learning allows individuals to attack real world problems within various settings. The goal of these activities is to promote the use of physical and/or mental abilities while exploring the unknown. Teamwork, critical thinking, safety, and various hands-on activities will be addressed during this session. Experiential learning activities can be used in a variety of settings and can be modified from children to older adults. Within this session, icebreakers along with a variety of activities will be presented. In addition, practical suggestions for no/low cost equipment will be discussed for a unit in experiential learning.
