| This session on Communication Strategies is a segment from the highly acclaimed Women Coaches Academy, (WCA) funded by the NCAA. We will address the issues of teaching and communicating with young people, and provide specific tools that can help bridge the gaps between what you say, what they hear and what results. As SJ Harris so wisely put it, “Information and communication are not synonyms – Information is giving out, while communication is getting through.” The WCA training program provides skills and perspective for coaches at all experience levels who are interested in developing aspects of their job beyond the X's and O's. |
