Balance Training and Falls Prevention for Older Adults: Practical Application
This two-part session will give fitness instructors and personal trainers the tools to lead their older adult participants through a 'stretch into strength' workout, incorporating use of the small balls and 1'x3' pine boards that participants use for balance training. It will also provide a hands-on activity session demonstrating balance training exercises that have been used in research to improve balance and postural control in older adults.
