Hazing and Sport Violence Legal Issues: Powder-Puff Football to Assault
Recently people were shocked to see teenage girls who played in an all female football game violently assault the opposing girls after the game. Lawsuits have been filed. The purpose of this presentation is to give sport leaders and teachers current legal information and suggestions for avoiding lawsuits connected with hazing and sport violence. This session is important because legal liabilities may extend to volunteers, school or recreation employees, employers, students, and parents. Deaths have resulted from hazing. School employees and students have been held liable.
