Keys to a Successful Jump Rope For Heart Event
Emily Adams and Patti Zaino have coordinated Jump Rope For Heart at Kennesaw Elementary in Georgia since fall 1994. Their event has grown from 189 participants raising $2600 to 1000 participants and money raised to $60,000. Innovative ideas make the event exciting for everyone involved. Incentives promoting participation and enthusiasm for JRFH include participant hearts, Century Club for children raising $100, classroom participation competition, and daily announcements. The children individually dedicate their donations. Highlights from Kennesaw’s JRFH event were video taped and hosted by participants. Patti and Emily have sample letters, preparation timeline, and extra ideas that work at Kennesaw.
