Fueling the Fire: Understanding Stages of Teacher Development
Why is it that some teachers are able to make a significant difference in their students’ lives over the course of a 30 year career and others don’t last 5 years? Why are those first few years of teaching so overwhelming for so many young professionals? Why do some teachers burn out and others don’t? This presentation focuses on strategies for maintaining professional integrity throughout a teaching career. Information will be shared about teacher development of self and stages of teaching. This session will empower teachers to understand themselves better as they navigate through their teaching journey.
