I Sing the Body Electric! Adolescent Health Program
This session will describe I Sing the Body Electric - an innovative, collaborative fine arts and health prevention program in Illinois. Samples of creative student health projects will be displayed as well as a description of the 3 phases of the successful program: Phase One - administration of a survey to determine top health concerns; Phase Two - health concerns become the subjects for arts based health project that are showcased at an annual Arts & Health Festival; Phase 3 - a region-wide tour of the projects to middle, junior high and high schools.
