Fibromyalgia and Physical Activity
Learn how to provide appropriate levels and types of physical activity for sufferers of fibromyalgia. An overview of this condition which affects 4 million people in the United States will be covered along with complimentary and traditional treatments. Only recognized recently (1980's)this painful condition typically seen in women in their mid 30's to late 50's has been seen increasingly on college campuses. It is providing a challenge to community and college health and physical educators. Suggestions for exercises and activities will be provided.
