Fitness and Sports - Can You Teach Them Together?
Can you teach sports and fitness at the same time? Do your learners see the connection between your sport units and fitness? Are you wondering what kind of activity to do with small spaces and large classes? Are there alternatives to improving fitness rather than traditional running or jogging? This session will provide middle school teachers with fun health related fitness activities that can be used within sport units. Examples of these health related fitness activities have been kid tested for invasion, net/wall, fielding and target sports. An audience participation format will be used.
