Adventure Education and Universality
Adventure Education and Universality: “Special Education? Regular Education? Or All Inclusive!” This program will present protocols for challenge course P.E. teachers, recreational specialists, and camp programmers, who are interested in Universality and Challenge Course training. The content of the program will focus on the diverse needs of challenge course participants and how facilitators should be trained to meet all participants’ needs. Training format and curriculum materials will be shared. Challenge course design and specialized haul systems will be presented. The program will be attractive to challenge course programmers interested in increasing the audience base they are serving. Particular emphasis will be placed on increasing effectiveness of training and service.
