CATCH Me In the Middle - CATC H PE for Grades 6-8
CATCH Middle School PE is a physical education curriculum designed to promote young adult’s enjoyment and participation of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity (MVPA). Unlike a traditional middle school physical education program that focuses primarily on participation in competitive team, individual and dual sports, CATCH PE emphasizes the importance of physical activity as a means to achieve and maintain optimum levels of skill development, physical fitness and health. Lessons encourage students to be active each day – at school and at home – and throughout their lifetime. A cornucopia of CATCH PE activities appropriate for the middle and high school level will be presented.
