University PETE Programs and Experienced Teachers: A Collaborative Approach to Professional Development
What can university PETE professors and teachers do to help enhance the careers of practicing physical educators? How do experienced teachers work together with university teacher educators to create professional development programs? This interactive session will highlight Professional Development Programs that use a collaborative approach to help teachers develop ideas and strategies to enhance student learning, boost their careers, and meet the changing expectations of physical education. This session will provide an in-depth opportunity for discussion and dialogue. PETE professors and in-service teachers will join together to develop the "how to" for creating a professional development relationship among teachers and professors.
