ACTIVATE: A Childhood Overweight Prevention Initiative
Kidnetic.com is an interactive, innovative, educational Web site designed to help children ages 9-12 and their parents work together to move toward healthy eating and active living. With over 970,000 visits to the site since June, Kidnetic.com is effectively reaching kids and parents. The preliminary findings indicate a strong interest in the subjects of physical activity and nutrition by the target audience. Kidnetic.com is demonstrating that healthy lifestyle information can be fun and credible and can be successfully delivered to kids and families through a Web site. Kidnetic.com is a resource that can be useful in childhood overweight prevention.
