Weight Training Concepts for Adolescent and Teenage Girls
The session will present and discuss weight training programs for adolescent and teen girls. A detailed description of the appropriate exercises and proper supervision will be included. Research and issues related to the benefits and potential risks will be discussed so that parents, educators, and coaches can be informed regarding the positive effects and the controversy surrounding resistance training programs for girls. A video of the exercise techniques and instructional procedures will be a part of the program.
