Mixing It Up: Combining Qualitative and Quantitative Methodology
This presentation will focus on advantages and challenges of combining both quantitative and qualitative methodologies when answering research questions in physical education and the movement sciences. These aspects will be explored using Creswell’s (2003) framework of mixed methodology and its application to various lines of research. Discussion by the presenters will be followed by group activities in which participants will share potential research ideas and how one method can enhance the other in answering the researcher’s questions.
