Creating Rubrics Related to Standards -- A Hands-on Workshop
This session is designed to help PE supervisors while conducting staff development on assessment. Presenters will provide samples of various types of rubrics and will lead participants through the process of writing rubrics for various types of assessments. The session is designed to provide hands on training and participants will create their own rubrics prior to the end of the session. Discussion concerning staff development of the rubric writing process will address issues faced when teaching others about the rubric writing process. Presenters will provide tips for developing quality rubrics as well as ways to avoid common pitfalls associated with writing rubrics.
