The ABCs of Ankle Injury Prevention and Care
Whether you work with elementary children in a Physical Education class, collegiate athletes, or a youth sports team, you have probably provided care for an injured ankle. This practical workshop is ideal for coaches, fitness instructors, dance teachers, and physical educators to retool or learn the latest techniques in the prevention and care of the injured ankle. You will hear Certified Athletic Trainers speak about:(1) the anatomy/mechanics-of-injury, (2) taping/bracing and initial treatment, and (3) rehabilitation and strengthening techniques for the ankle. This workshop will also include hands-on demonstration of rehabilitation techniques with a taping/wrapping/bracing laboratory.
