Backyards and Beyond: Creating Avenues for Cultural Diversity in Advocating Sport and Physical Activity for ALL Girls and Women
The purpose of this session is to share the history, vision, and goals of NAGWS’ Backyards and Beyond program. We will describe how we feel the mission of NAGWS combined with the vision and goals of Backyards and Beyond can continue providing advocacy for Title IX AND provide increased voice and visibility for ALL girls and women in sport. Audience participation in relation to cultural identities and sport experiences will be a major component of the workshop.
