| Description | Aquatic facilities pose special challenges for administrators, operators and teachers. The focus of this presentation is to identify critical issues associated with aquatic facility operation, and to provide specific recommendations for identifying and addressing these problems. Risk Management issues involving physical hazards, personnel, facility scheduling, and site-specific policies and procedures will be addressed. Additional materials will focus on specific issues regarding water treatment, lighting, ventilation, and design codes. Key issues will be illustrated with slides of existing facilities drawn from a cross-section of high schools, colleges, and universities. A must attend session for aquatic educators, facility managers, and pool operators. | |
