The recent occurance of violent acts at school settings has stimulated a focused attention on behavorial patterns common to the educational environment. Interviews with over 100 students and educators ages 7 to 96 years, revealed numerous recurrent generational trends. Although "jocks", and "geeks" rated high, "bullies" were rated the most prevelant and universial trend among all populations. Classmate or colleague, individuals felt fear, frustration, and inadequate when confronted by a bully. This session will identify common scare tactics, identify intervention resources, and outline individual rights and alternatives to identify, deter, and combat bullies at the schoolsite.
