TimeWise
The session will describe the TimeWise: Learning Lifelong Leisure Skills curriculum. TimeWise is geared for middle school youth and is designed to teach youth how to use their free time wisely and in healthy ways. It promotes self-responsibility, good decision making and planning skills, and the ability to develop interests and avoid boredom. Specifically, the following will be presented: the theory behind the curriculum, why a leisure education program is important to middle school youth, and preliminary evidence of the effectiveness of the program. Participants will learn how they can use TimeWise.
