Making Change for School Health
Establishing and maintaining coordinated school health programs, including health education, involves systemic change. The challenges encountered are similar to those faced by the introduction of other new programs into schools. This session will describe how selected districts, schools, and communities throughout the nation are initiating and maintaining school health programs and what we can learn from their experiences. Similarities between factors affecting the introduction of school health programs and those encountered by efforts to initiate other types of school programs will be highlighted.
