NASPE/Council of Physical Education for Children
Preschool Physical Education for Ages 1-5 Years
This session will provide participants with activity examples and ideas for providing appropriate physical activity instruction for toddlers, transitional threes, and four and five year old children. A curriculum that develops four categories of movement awareness will be shared by demonstrating age appropriate activities from each category for toddlers and preschool children. Demonstrations of appropriate props and equipment for enhancing the practice of movement actions and concepts will be a central theme. This presentation will be interactive and handouts of all activities will be available.
