Application of Basic Motor Learning and Mechanical Principles in Volleyball Training
This program will address some of the motor learning and biomechanics concepts and their use when teaching and training volleyball skills. Concepts such as: variability of practice, stimulus-response compatibility, equilibrium; action-reaction will be examined as they affect the performance of selected volleyball skills. Examples and exercises will be presented of the utilization of the principles when teaching and training the skills to beginning through intermediate players. The session is oriented to middle and high school teachers and coaches working with developing players.
