"Stretch Your Mind and Body" Tai Chi as an Adaptive Activity
In an effort to develop strengths, weaknesses of body, mind, and spirit are often overlooked. Tai Chi has been used to develop these wellness aspects for centuries. This session is an activity session. Tai Chi can best be learned by routinely practicing the physical skills; therefore, participants will be introduced to Tai Chi and how it can be integrated into a healthy lifestyle to promote personal wellness. Each workshop participant will practice breathing techniques, learn basic stretches, "Temple Exercises", and partner activities. Dress comfortably.
