ADMIT it: If You Don't Use "em", You Lose Them
Assess, Document, Model, Infuse, and Teach (ADMIT) constitute a performance-based approach toward developing quality teaching. It is widely accepted that this approach to educating teacher candidates represents best practice. NASPE and NCATE have developed standards for initial teacher certification and beginning Physical Education teachers. Faculty representing several Physical Education Teacher Education programs will present an overview of effective methods and strategies implemented within their quality teacher education programs that align with each initial licensing standard. Participants will have opportunities to discuss and explore, through roundtable discussion, examples of assessing, documenting, modeling, infusing, and teaching that further articulate each NASPE standard.
